Hardcore Music With Escape The Fate

One of today’s bands who are at the forefront of the post-hardcore music scene is Escape the Fate. They are currently enjoying a surge in popularity because of their three albums to date that are being discovered by new fans worldwide. Their fame has reached into the commercial side of the music industry, as they popularized a number of categories or items, even including skeleton gloves.

What is a post-hardcore music or band you might ask? It is actually a music genre that is based on the original hardcore punk and the punk rock music. Post-hardcore therefore refers to all the bands that emerged from the influence of the hardcore music scene. While hardcore is their inspiration, their music is actually closer to that of experimental rock.

Escape the Fate was formed in Nevada, USA in 2004 with original members composed of Ronnie Radke as the lead vocalist, Bryan Monte Money lead guitarist, Omar Espinosa rhythm guitarist , Max Green bassist, and Robert Ortiz in drums.

However, the band experienced some personal problems that led to the replacement of some of its members.

One of the first major setbacks they experienced was the sentencing into prison by their lead vocalist, Ronnie Radke. The band later replaced him with Craig Mabbitt.

And just as Escape the Fate was starting to gain some grounds, their then keyboardist Carson Allen left to join the band, On The Last Day.

Omar Espinosa also left the band in 2007 due to unspecified personal reasons.

Needless to say, it is but a common phenomenon that we see in most bands of this stature to see its members come and go through the years. However, Escape the Fate is a fairly new band and yet they have already gone through such major band member changes. One of the problems they dealt with was the drug addiction of some of their members. Through rehabilitation they were able to get through it.

They currently have three albums: This War is Ours, There’s No Sympathy for the Dead, and Dying is Your Latest Fashion.

As the band members themselves claim, In the This War is Ours album, the opening track “We Won’t Back Down” signifies their hard-partying and hard rocking life as a rock band then based in Las Vegas. The album may also show a hint of the influence of the music from their favorite bands, Motley Crue and Guns N Roses.

A couple of years later, the album ‘Dying is Your Latest Fashion’ was released. Personally it was a breakthrough for the band because they were able to come up with that album although they were experiencing some problems of their own. One of which was the departure of their lead vocalist, Ronnie Radke.

With the band seemingly at their most stable form to date, they are now poised to conquer the whole of the punk rock and hardcore rock scene.
