Feel the Energy with Escape the Fate
Las Vegas, Nevada is the place of origin of metalcore, post hardcore band Escape the Fate. To date, this energetic group has music merch consisting of three EPs, six singles, two albums and eight videos under their belt.
Past Story
The original band members, Omar Espinosa, Ronnie Radke, Robert Ortiz, Bryan Money and Max Green came together six years ago in Pahrump, Nevada. It was only two years after their initial meeting though that they were able to churn up their first EP “There’s No Sympathy for the Dead.” It was a little later after this that they were able to release their first Escape the Fate album, “Dying is Your Latest Fashion” containing two songs from their first EP. Somewhere during the production of their album release, keyboardist Carson Allen left the group to join On the Last Day.
The year that followed saw the band participating in the tour Black on Black. It was here that the band saw another departure when rhythm guitarist Omar Espinosa left for personal reasons. After this blow, Ronnie Radke who took on vocals followed but only after he was pushed out by other band members. Radke had a run in with the law and was sentenced to serve a prison term. It was Craig Mabbitt from Bless the Fall who temporarily took on the responsibilities of the beleaguered Radke. Eventually though, Mabbitt became a permanent member and is still presently on lead vocals. Currently, Max Green handles lead guitar, Bryan Money handles bass guitar and Robert Ortiz handles the drums.
Released Albums
The first Escape the Fate album “Dying is Your Latest Fashion” was released in September of 2006. It was Ronnie Radke who had the spotlight on this work after having written and composed all the tracks. Two songs are from the EP “There’s No Sympathy for the Dead” while the nine other songs are original compositions. A bonus track “Look Your Best” is included.
The band’s second album, “This War is Ours” was released approximately two years after the first album release. In this album, Craig Mabbitt masterfully took on his new role to fill in the shoes of Radke. In comparison, the second album is shorter than the first one. The deluxe special edition however contains two new tracks and remix and acoustic versions of “Harder Then You Know.” All of these were previously unreleased, with the new tracks never even been introduced. An added bonus to the deluxe edition is a DVD that shows behind the scenes footage, a tour documentary and a couple of music videos. Fans are just newly enjoying this package after it was released on April 2010.
Escape the Fate revealed their plans to start a new third album during Warped Tour 2009. Recording began winter 2009 with the release originally slated for spring 2010. A few demo songs are already finished along with featured song which is co-written by Mick Mars of Motley Crue fame. It was recently announced that the target release date moved to mid to late summer 2010. Catch it then at your local band store. They are currently active in online social networking sites including MySpace, Twitter and Facebook.
