The Cute Monsters Return In Bakugan Battle Trainer
The Bakugan assault continues this month with one more video game release on the DS and DSi; Bakugan Battle Trainer. Following just some brief months after the last release, Battle Brawler, this game upholds the story of Dan, who has to cope with both losing his memory and collecting all of the Bakugan which have been stolen up into a hostile alien craft.
The game play on this title is split into a couple of distinct sections; training and fighting. The training section features various cool devices, including mini missions benefiting from all of the DS features. Through training, your Bakugan acquire abilities which may be used in combat. In Bakugan Battle Trainer, heightened emphasis is placed in technique rather than the overpowering attacks from earlier titles.
Graphically, Bakugan Battle Trainer is sweet and vibrant, with the top display treating players to enjoyable combat animations. Moreover, the displays are pretty much identical to earlier incarnations. The audio aspect features the vocal talent from the series, which is a nice add-on, and the Bakugan themselves remain as fearsome as before.
Bakugan battle trainer is a decent release for the franchise. The game is short, and lacks an assortment of enticing modes the previous game offered. Instead, here an emphasis is placed on technique and mastery – compelling players to level up to the total level. This game remains a must-have purchase for Bakugan players, but should appeal more to the strategists amongst the game’s fans.
