Currently my job is a market analyst for a S.E.O. firm in Chicago . This wasn’t my plan growing up. A lot of children grow up with unrealistic ideas of what they want to accomplish when they grow up, some achieve those dreams but most don’t . I think it is because I had unrealistic goals, or my mother smashed the realistic ones. I wanted to be a professional soccer player. I actually made it all the way to the Olympic Development team, but that is as far as I went. My unrealistic goal of playing professional soccer was put to an end one morning when I woke up and realized that it just wasn’t in the cards for me . My realistic goal was to become a lawyer. Once I moved away to go to college I fell in love with the city of Marquette, and new that was where I wanted to be a Defense Attorney . Again, my mother interceded, saying that I didn’t have it in me to be a lawyer, all lawyers are blood sucking jerks and I am too sweet and kind to become one . My mother is my best friend so I took everything she said to heart , hence me working for a Search Engine Optimization firm. My mom had dreams of me becoming a famous journalist, pushing me to take journalism classes in college . I obliged her wishes, took the class, and ended up having a piece of mine on bio-medical research published, but it was too late, I didn’t have the desire to become a journalist . I took an intro to marketing, and met a person who ended up changing my outlook on my career path. He opened my eyes to marketing and all that encompasses the industry. He failed to mention the possibility of me working in Flash Design. He tried his best, but I think it might have been a blessing for me to end up in PPC Search Engine. I think it was a great career move on my part, quitting my job as a financial analyst to become a market analyst for a S.E.O. company . I actually like it, I just wish that I had more knowledge pertaining to the subject coming into the deal. S.E.O. encompasses more than one would think. There are many different levels to S.E.O., including PPC Search Engine and Web Design, along with blogging, posting content to various web pages, researching, analyzing, and much more.
My desire to work is driven by analysis and research, which is varied within my position . My job mostly revolves around S.E.O. and posting blogs and content to search engine friendly websites . Every now and then I get a twinge of guilt for not following my dream of becoming a lawyer . Right now is especially hard because I know that I would be graduating law school this month and probably would already be in with a city . Instead of being an Assistant District Attorney, I am a market analyst at a S.E.O. firm. I could still go to law school; I just don’t think that I have enough knowledge pertaining to law to even consider taking the LSAT. I know that I could study, but I honestly do not have time. I wish I did, because I know that once I put my mind to something I am great at what I do. An example of my desire is soccer, although I finally realized that it wasn’t for me, I would have made it had I not lost that drive to play . I had such “potential”, according to my coaches, to be great. I don’t know why I didn’t have the heart anymore. After twenty one years of playing soccer, almost ten of those years on a highly competitive bases, I realized that I just didn’t want to do it anymore, I played for a year and a half after that but everyone noticed the change in my game . I didn’t have a normal childhood, I was traveling every summer until I was sixteen with the national softball team, and every fall I played travel soccer and ran cross-country, every spring I played soccer, softball and ran track for my high school. My parents put me in every sport possible, including gymnastics, which I was in until I was about sixteen. When I turned sixteen I was offered a spot on the Olympic Development team and dropped gymnastics like an old habit . Long story short, this is how I ended up working as a market analyst for a S.E.O. firm that deals with PPC Search Engine and Web Design.

Last night I was checking the internet looking out for various websites that could give me some piece of information regarding ad network companies. The Commission Bump is a term popularized by affiliate marketer Russell Brunson. Russell used the term to refer to a marketing technique in which an affiliate marketer, as Russell explains, can multiply their affiliate commissions for marketing a product far above what a product vendor is actually paying out, in many cases even more than the product is actually sold for.

Russell used the Affiliate Commission Bump technique multiple times in 2007. Throughout the year he was able to fine tune the technique to achieve amazing results. When he mentioned his success to fellow affiliate marketers many pleaded with Russell to explain the model to them. Russell, though, kept the model to himself for much of the year, until he was finally convinced to reveal the model at an after hours session of a private seminar in late 2007. Russell filmed the session and later released the recording as part of a product launch that took place on May 27th, 2008, called the Affiliate Evolution. To build up interest in the Affiliate Evolution launch Russell held several live online affiliate training web casts covering various affiliate marketing methods.

In the sales copy for Affiliate Evolution, Russell makes claims such as “multiply your commissions from 50% to 250%”. Although an affiliate can not technically earn 250% commission from a sale as an affiliate, according to Russell it is possible because the affiliate sale is simply used as a buyer leads source to which more can be marketed to later. The affiliate sale is simply used as a front end. The majority of revenue is made on sales achieved later, to those who bought the original product.

Many online marketers simply make a sale without capturing any information about the purchaser, or following up and therefore earn only what the product owner is paying out in commissions. If one were to use that affiliate sale as a lead source and capture all buyer’s contact information those preqaulified customerscustomers is bringing in more revenue than from what they paid for the original affiliate product. That is how one can “multiply” ones commissions. This is the essence of the commission bump marketing technique and what is discussed in affiliate evolution.

Your essay should consist of an introduction, the main body and a conclusion:

The Introduction

You will only need one paragraph or at the most 2 in this section. Use your introduction to outline what you are aiming to do in your essay – introduce your intentions and how you are going to go about answering the set question. Keep this section as brief as you can.

The Main Body

This is where all your arguments will take place including for and against.

Include any quotes from your research as evidence to back up your arguments. These will probably be from course textbooks as well as any resources that you have found while researching the subject of your essay.

Be sure to keep careful note of any resources that you find – it is easy to subconsciously use what you have read, and without referencing it you run the risk of being accused or plagiarism (trying to pass off material that isn’t your own work).

The Conclusion

Keep this section for the conclusion to your arguments, making sure that you do not include any new material – leave that for the main body.

This section will bring your essay to a close where you can sum up your arguments and show that you have reached a conclusion.

Some people outline their conclusion before they start on their essay – they find that this gives them a focus as they work through their arguments. This may work for you, or you may find other ways that work best for you.

Living in the city can be a tough experience. When you are a small town girl, used to the ocean and mountains, trading all that in can be painful. Trading the mountains and oceans in for a career dream can be agonizing, you hoped to find this dream job as a market analyst for a S.E.O. company in the Pacific Northwest, but to no avail, you found it in Chicago . Most Sponsored Links firms prefer their employees to have four to five years work experience prior to joining their team, so you should feel lucky to have the dream job as an analyst for a S.E.O. company . You would embrace this job if it were in the Pacific Northwest . Your coworkers at the S.E.O. firm are amazing, even the bosses treat you with respect . Weighing your options out always reveals that your happiness is more important . So why are you still here? Is there a force somewhere that is working to keep me here without my knowledge ? Is it your PPC Management position, besides the fact that you don’t have Flash Design knowledge? Maybe it is the big city lights that keep you here, even though they blind you with their burning intensity ? These questions, and more, are racing in your thoughts all the time . It’s necessary to build links for search engine optimization. Link building methods vary and it’s best to use several different methods.

If you have a website, chances are you understand the importance of backlinks. Backlinks are a measure of trust that search engines use to rank websites in the search results. The more backlinks (or incoming links) a site has, the more relevance the search engines will impart to that site.

Getting backlinks
There are several different ways to get more backlinks.

The first, and probably least valuable type of link is the reciprocal link. Reciprocal links are obtained by contacting other website owners and trading links with them.  Google and other search engines give very little value to these types of links anymore, particularly if your links are to and from an unrelated site. Google may not ignore these types of links if they’re to and from related sites though. For example, if your website is about cars and you trade links with a site about flowers, it probably won’t help your site. However, if you trade links with a site that sells auto parts, Google may give your site a small boost for that. Most webmasters these days have given up on reciprocal links because the work/reward ratio is too high.

Quality backlinks
A more valuable form of incoming link is a one-way, non-reciprocal link.  There are several ways to get one-way backlinks to your site. Some are easier than others.

Directory submissions – there are thousands of niche and general interest directories on the internet that will allow you to submit a link to your website. Some are free and some are not.  As with reciprocal links, the closer the directory is related to your site’s topic, the better. To find directories to submit your site to, do a search for “[your keyword] +directory”, replacing [your keyword] with the keyword or phrase that is related to your site.  Submitting to directories is a time consuming process, but there are some programs available that automate much of the work, making it a little easier.

Getting backlinks
Article submissions are another fairly simple way of obtaining non-reciprocal links to your site. Simply write (or hire someone to write) a good article and submit it for free to one of the top article directories on the web, such as ezinearticles.com or goarticles.com.

Another way to get one-way backlinks to your site is to comment on other people’s blogs. The best way to do this is to find blogs that are related to your site’s topic, then add interesting and insightful comments to it and include a link back to your site within the comment.

The best, and probably hardest way to get good backlinks to your site is by providing interesting, valuable content that other site owners will want to link to on their own.  The better your content is, the more people will talk about it, and the more they will link to your site from theirs without you having to ask for the link. Good content doesn’t always mean articles.  Videos, podcasts, polls, contests, and interviews all constitute good content if people find them interesting.
